Módulo Payment - Ajustes Advanzados

With the help of this menu, you can adjust the way information is displayed to the user when using the SiteKiosk browser.

Quick links:

Currency Options

    In general
Even if a device supports several currencies, all payment processes will be displayed in one currency (main currency) only. Also, the statistics about the transactions on your terminal will only be evaluated in the main currency.
The Payment Module will automatically read the currency set by the operating system as well as the currency format and the decimal places. You can make adjustments to these settings.

    Currency symbol

In case your currency (symbol) is not listed, you can simply type it into the corresponding field.
Just click in the field CURRENCY SYMBOL and type the required symbol. You will immediately see the result in the example window. If you click on Standard, the settings will be reset to Windows' default currency settings.

    Decimal places
With this option, you can adjust how many decimal places are displayed.

    ISO currency code

In case your currency code is not listed, you can simply type it into the corresponding field.
Just click in the field ISO CURRENCY CODE and type the required code. For a list of ISO currency codes see here.

    Currency format
Determines if the currency symbol is supposed to be displayed in front of or after the amount.

Administration

Visualization

    In general
Adjustments made here will mainly affect the display of information presented to the terminal user in the SiteKiosk browser. Depending on the language you selected, you can have the Payment Module display relevant information in the language of your choice, provided a translation is available.

    Credit and Remaining Time Format
A basic distinction you must keep in mind is between credit and remaining time. If you deploy monetary devices such as coin checkers, bill readers, etc., you should at least have the credit displayed. The following options are available:

Credit - if you want to show the user her available credit at all times
Remaining time - if you want to show the user information about her remaining time

With the option Time format, the appearance of the remaining time can be changed.

If you turn on this option, the status bar will always provide information on the currently applied rate and the name of the current zone you defined beforehand.
Display zone name and rate in status bar

    Progress Indicator

If this option is selected, you can also enable a graphical progress bar in order to display the the status of your surfing time.
    Display progress indicator (if applicable)

    • Display progress bar in blocks
If you select this box, the progress bar is separated in blocks instead of being displayed as a single line.
    • Color gradient
With this option you can choose whether the progress bar has only one single color or it is filled with a color gradient.

    Notification on Low Credit
This box will pop up when the user starts to run out of surfing time. You can define this value beforehand.

    Note:
There may be problems with the dialog box when DirectX games are being run.

    Explanation concerning Stringtable.xml
The file Stringtable.xml contains the file names of the language files that determine the visual representation of text in the browser for each language. You will find the file in SiteKiosk's installation folder under LANGUAGE/BROWSERSKINS.
You can modify the strings included in these files and adjust them for every language. The STRINGS below refer to the display of credit and remaining time in the status bar (english.xml):

    	<!-- SiteKiosk Specific! -->
    	<string id='2500'>{0} minutes</string>
    	<string id='2501'>{0} seconds</string>
    	<string id='2502'>{0} min {1} sec</string>

    	<!-- Credit: 10,00 EUR (10:00:00) -->
    	<string id='2503'>{0}: {1} ({2})</string>

    	<!-- Duration: 10:00:00 -->
    	<string id='2504'>{0}: {1}</string>
    	<string id='2505'>Credit</string>
    	<string id='2506'>Amount Due</string>
    	<string id='2507'>Remaining Time</string>
    	<string id='2508'>Duration</string>

In connection with some URLs the status bar will contain a description rather than the zone name. These URLs include system documents, the Start Page, sponsored sites, free sites, and non-defined sites (default).

You can adjust the descriptions of these URLs to your requirements in the corresponding language file.

    	<string id='2550'>System document</string>
    	<string id='2551'>Home page</string>
    	<string id='2552'>Standard</string>
    	<string id='2553'>free of charge</string>
    	<string id='2554'>sponsored</string>
    	<string id='2555'>{0} / hour</string>
    	<string id='2556'>Application</string>
    	<!-- /SiteKiosk Specific! -->

Settings

    Location for saving remaining credit
By default, the current credit balance is stored in the file $(SiteKioskPath)\SiteCash\SiteCash_AccMoney.dat. The advantage of this procedure is that any remaining credit will be re-credited and, thus, be available again in case of an unexpected reboot of the machine (error/power outage/etc).

If you employ a hard drive protection software such as Hdd Sheriff, Win Rollback, Deepfreeze, Illusion, HD Guard, or Driveshield, you should save this file to an additional unprotected partition. Otherwise, the content of this file will be reset when the computer reboots.

Receipt

    Offer receipt of deposit
Receipts can be printed or sent by e-mail. Please be aware that you can't use receipts together with SiteCafe.

To print receipts please select the desired printer from the drop-down list. If you disable the option that the printer is only allowed to print receipts it can be used for normal printing in SiteKiosk as well.
When you activate receipt printing the SiteKiosk printer monitoring will be activated.

To send receipts by e-mail please make sure that you configured the SiteKiosk e-mail settings accordingly.

You can edit the receipt template by clicking on the appropriate button. The contents of the text fields for trader name, trader phone and tax number are added to the receipt.

A receipt can be created either after each inpayment or at the end of a session.

General Notes on the HTML Dialogs

The dialogs presented to the user when the Payment Module is active are written in HTML/JavaScript and can, therefore, be modified fairly easily at any time.
The definition for all dialogs (for the IE Skin) are stored in the file IEskindef.xml, which you can find in SiteKiosk's installation folder under Skins/IESkin.

    You will find the entries:

    • dialog id='printerpay' for the paid printing dialog
    • dialog id='printerinfojobs' for the display of the print jobs
    • dialog id='printerinfopages' for the display of the pages that are to be printed
    • dialog id='lowsurftime' for the notification about low credit
    • dialog id='pullmode' for the pull mode dialog
    • dialog id='payment' for the request of payment for pay area

Request of payment for pay area
The user will see this dialog whenever he or she tries to enter a pay area and does not have the necessary credit in his or her account. The user will automatically be shown the different payment options as well as the cost per hour.
