SiteKiosk already provides out-of-the-box support for a great many different languages. And you can help us to implement even more languages in the near future. (see below)
IMPORTANT:
If you want to employ character sets that deviate from the Western European encoding, you should definitely make sure that the entry "<skin-browserwindows>true</skin-browserwindows>" in the configuration file is set to true because otherwise the character set will not be displayed in UTF8 and will, therefore, not be represented properly.

Selecting Languages
Simply select the languages you want the user to be able to choose from in the browser.
Default Language
SiteKiosk will display the default language on startup. If a user ends a session (logoff, screensaver) then the default language is loaded automatically.
The System Language is the same as the one your operating system uses. You will find the language settings of your operating system in the Control Panel. Go to Regional Options and click "Advanced" under the tab "General".
The folder Languages within the SiteKiosk Installation Folder contains all language-relevant information. You are able to modify the stringtables if necessary.
What do you do if your language is not listed? First of all, please check if you have installed the latest version of SiteKiosk. Should your language still not be there, you can send us a request for the English version of the raw file including all string variables. We will then send you a corresponding .doc file for you to translate. You can then submit your translation, and we will implement it for you free of charge.
Note: On-Screen Keyboards
Changing the language for the browser has a direct effect on the layout of your on-screen keyboard - as long as the language you selected is available in the keyboard's skin. On the other hand, changing the language of the keyboard will also affect the language used in the browser.
Keyboard Language Settings
Activating the option "Enable keyboard switching" will add a small icon to the task bar of SiteKiosk to switch between keyboard languages. SiteKiosk uses the keyboard languages available under Windows. Click the "Change keyboards" button to edit the Windows settings. These Windows settings are user dependent, you may need to change them for the user you want to run SiteKiosk with.
The SiteKiosk task bar icon for language switching will switch languages for SiteKiosk and other applications in shell
replacement mode. If no shell replacement is used the icon will only switch languages for SiteKiosk.
Windows allows to configure a hot key to switch the keyboard language. This option is only supported for SiteKiosk
windows, compatibility with other applications running under SiteKiosk cannot be guaranteed.
